School curriculum sessions

Wild-Ed-portrait-1Working alongside the school staff we can tailor our activities to complement the term’s curriculum themes or provide one off sessions to enhance the student’s learning by bringing a subject to life.

There are strong links into Every Child Matters, Early Years Foundation Stage, Playwork Principles and the National Curriculum at all stages.

We can accommodate students with all different learning styles and needs.

Sessions can be one off or, for more impact, longer term, regular visits. A long term programme supports repetition and contact with nature through all seasons and in all weathers. As a minimum we would prefer one group to participate for half a term.  The longer the programme the more beneficial it will be.

Here are some examples of what we are already doing -

Case Study 1 – Orleans Primary School - The PTA fund all Year 1s to have a session once a week for 6 weeks

Case Study 2- East Sheen Primary School – The school has funding in its school development plan and we are helping them start their Forest School journey by taking their Year 1s out once a week for 6 weeks

Case Study 3 – Stanley Primary School – We took their Year 3s out for half a day to compliment their curriculum theme on natural art and mini beasts.
